I've always had a problem using my tv's as screens, I've had two different screens now which are a pain to look. So I tend to stick with just my monitor and drop the 2nd screen.
Anyway does anyone know a good calibration program?

What kind of problems do you have? What OS are you using?

For me, running a Windows 8 PC on my TV, I just tweaked the screen size using the Windows display settings as the default was a little to small for my TV.

that's all i had to do, got a monitor and a TV and all i need to do was change the screen size slightly but apart from that i have had no issues using either of them

what issues are you having and how are you connecting the PC to the TV?

im on windows 7, I've spent hours trying to calibrate them and they still look really off. I've tried using the windows colour calibration and it hasn't worked. The colours just seem really off but the tv is fine with everything else. Im connected through a HDMI to dvi but have the same problem with a vga and a HDMI

Using a TV as computer screen is a bad idea. In any case, to match them and have show them reliable colours, you should calibrate them with a hardware sensor like spyder.
