Hey y'all,

No sure if this is common questions, but I'm looking to get a new monitor/TV to mount on the wall for my racing sim set up.

At the mo I keep having to swap things around and is very inconvenient, so I am looking to wall mount a monitor and shift all the sim stuff over so I can just switch at my leisure.

See piccy -

I want something big enough (between 34" - 40" maybe more) as to be more immersive and fill the wall.

Looking at monitors and TV's, I'm not actually sure what the difference is between the two other than you can get a much larger TV for cheaper.

if I buy a TV with HDMI or display port, will I suffer noticeably degraded visuals when it comes to gaming? Am I better off buying a large monitor over a TV?

How big is the wall?
TV's
for a 48" a quick cut and paste, 646 x 1085 x 90 mm (H x W x D)
for a 55" 714 x 1240 x 63 mm (H x W x D)

and what is your budget?

Hey lude, looking to spend around £500 ideally, I know that's not an earth shattering amount but it will have to do.

My question I guess was more to do with the difference between a monitor and a TV, why such a big price difference also.

If there is no difference I'll just get a 40" 4k TV
