I had a HTPC which I have upgraded and bought the Acer Predator monitor for gaming.
I replaced it with a Chromebox under the TV for Plex Home Theater since I bitstream through my amp.
I was looking at a way of getting Steam onto the Chromebox to stream games from the main PC.
However, I've been thinking.. (dangerous)
My monitor is connected to my GTX970 via DP. Could I run a HDMI cable from my PC to the amp which is connected to the TV and just run Steam on the TV that way? Both the gaming PC and the Chromebox are in the same room.
Would it be a wife friendly setup so she can get the kids playing on the TV when need be?
Never had multiple monitors before, so unsure how it all works - especially given there is an amp in the equation and the TV will be used for Steam sporadically as it will mainly be used for watching TV etc!
