Monitor upgrade advice for gaming PC

Hey there,

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor, a Viewsonic VP930, to a new widescreen monitor. I'm doing this because i'm getting fed up with small screen sizes and would like to get a nice new shiny widescreen monitor for my computer. I primarily use my computer for gaming and photoshop stuff.

My price range is up to £200, though I'm willing to go a bit further but not by much. Similarly if there's an excellent monitor out there at a cheaper price that would be great.

I realise that no matter what I get (unless I go for something ultra expensive) i'm not going to get the clarity that came with a VP930, one of the best monitors there was, but i'm just going to have to live with it.

Funnily enough I looked at that one ages ago and It had good reviews, but what worries me is that i'm losing a couple of inches and that the resolution is peculiar and not true 1080p?
