In bed.
Well I currently have 5 PG278Q. Admittedly I love them and they are not getting out of warranty. Got until 2019 so maybe time for an upgrade?

I am currently looking maybe picking up the PG27UQ when it comes out. Is there any news on this? And why the hell are the bezels so big on it? Was hopping they would stick to the same frame. Or the X27 from Acer.

My question is do I bother with this high grade monitor or shall I wait for the "2nd gen" of these screens with thinner bezels lesser issues. As part of me wish I had waited and gone for the PG279Q. Shall I keep my PG28Qs for longer and wait for 4k 165 or better?

I have the GPU to drive 4k 1080SLI and 1080TI single. Along side that I plan on picking up three of the NEXT GEN TI cards as soon as they are out. (Hopefully at a decent price)

Thanks !

I like how the marketing crap rate the PG27UQ is 3840 x 2160 4K UHD it not true 4K but a downgrade version of true 4K and stay away from acer IMO if gaming is your way buy a 43-49 UHD TV@60hz and G-Sync is a waste of money again IMO

I am not following ? 4K is 3840 pixels × 2160 which is the resolution of the PG27UQ correct?

Why stay away from Acer everyone is telling me to stay away from Asus lol!

This monitor is like mine 3840x2160 it only a cut down version of the true 4K but in the market world BS it called 4K UHD Right! But actually it's just UHD But True 4K is 4096x2160

In another way is 4,096 by 2,160, is an aspect ratio of 1.9:1. But 3,840 by 2,160, for a 1.78:1 aspect ratio

If you like to fight with Acer over a monitor repair that's your choice I am fight now to get my monitor repaired with ACER because it's a panel tcon chipset problem that happen in 2016 with all the Predator range, also Benq used the same panel I don't know about Asus.
