I've got a 27" 1440p VA curved panel and I would like to upgrade

There is noticeable smearing with my VA panel, usually on dark scenes, strafing left and right it's pretty annoying- also I presume it would smear any other detail even though it's not as noticeable as the gray smearing? The freesync flickering is pretty annoying, I guess that's down to the GPU not being able to output high enough refresh? (I need to upgrade GPU as well) Also I don't want a monitor with "red push"

I don't like the edge lit LED's on mine, although generally the black level is fairly even .

Do IPS still suffer from IPS glow? I can't see any curved monitors. Screen is about arms distance. I'd like FALD backlight or something like that.

OLED is bit too much still

I really would save up for OLED, it's just so superior to everything else. If you can't then go IPS. I wouldn't even entertain VA these days.

I took a photo of my AW3225QF QD-OLED with my mobile, couldn't really keep my hands steady but with my camera on super macro mode looking at that reddit page

In real life that A text is so dark from a normal camera view it looks almost like a sticker on the screen.

who knew grey text had so many colours :O (The camera will be trying to equalize the brightness of all the colours on the screen to focus I guess)


thats not even with the camera really close to the screen , I'm surprised it could see the RGBs so clearly from that far, but I guess its dimming the exposure or whatever
