Hi,

Is there a maximum limit of monitor resolution that can be carried by an sVGA cable. For example, could one cable be rated as OK for 1600 x 1200 but not capable of 1920 x 1200? Or, are they all capable of the same maximum resolution limit? I need a new sVGA cable that will support 1920 x 1200 and just wish to make sure I purchase one that will support this resolution.

By sVGA cable I am referring to a cable with male 15 Pin D sub connectors at both ends.

I hope to use a VGA cable for 1920 x 1200 on one of my monitor inputs. It looks as though I need a decent quality cable with good shielding.

Does the cable have to be fully wired, ie, all 15 pins wired?
