Hi,

I'm in the process of building a new computer for video editing and gaming. I was going to buy a "22 monitor, but realized I would need something bigger as I may be editing files from 1080p -4K resolution. Larger monitors are a lot more expensive for that kind of work, so I began looking at "50 HDTV's which are much cheaper for the size.

However, I'm not sure how accurate the colours are for HDTV's, as I'll need the colours to be spot on for colour correcting. So I'm still not sure whether to get a large HDTV for video editing or a smaller PC monitor.

Thanks!

A 50" HDTV is still only 1920x1080 res. For video work you're probably better with a higher quality 32". For accurate colour work you're looking at the higher end priced 24"/27" monitors.

Ok thanks, I'll just get a high end monitor then.
