Would appreciate some advice on whether to replace my ailing 27" Hanns.G with a 30" Hazro HZ30 (2560x1600) or a 32" 1080p LED TV of the sort you'd find in a small living room for half the price.

Mainly used for Office applications and gaming.

Anyone have any experiences of using a 1080p LED TV as a monitor?

I personally would stay well clear of going down the TV route. The pixel density is far too low and text especially will look awful - in my experience anyway.
Games and videos are about the only advantage to that.

The Hazro is a much better proposition on paper, I upgraded from 1080p to 1440p and love the difference so the 1600p should be a delight, for both work and play!

I bought a TV to use as a monitor, wish i had not of done it :( text was hard to read games was fine, ended up buying a new 27" monitor from OCUK
