I am about to build a SFF media centre PC for my youngest son. This will replace TV, DVD player and a PC. However he has a lot of VHS tapes he still wants to watch. does any one know of a 19" or close monitor with a composite or SCART input?

I may have to bite the bullitt and get a VGA equipped TFT TV.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

can't think of any 19" models with those inputs i'm afraid. The Dell 2005FPW, 2007WFP, 2405FPW and 24407WFP spring to mind. It's not that common a feature sadly

How about using something like a VGA box.

(Google "VGA box" or seach some auction sites for "VGA box".)

Or if it's going be a media PC am guessing your going have a TV card..so you could use the video in on the TV card..

Get a TV card, and use S-video if the VHS player can do that.

I use a TV Card and DScaler (opensource software) for my old consoles. Better than a VGA Box (and cheaper depending on which TV Card you get) IMO.
