My son has quite a powerful machine, but is still stuck with his 15" screen from his original Dell cheapie machine! Ideally we'd like this monitor to replace his TV as well to free up some space. I've been looking through the OCUK shop and camea cross the Samsung SM2494HS. I notice that it has HDMI and speakers, but according to the reviews I've read the speakers aren't much good. Is it possible to use external speakers on this model? If not, is there a monitor with decent sound out there?

If you don't wish to add external speakers some manufactures sell monitors with out built in speakers but do add on sound bars.
