Monitor with speakers?

Hey guys, not really sure which category this falls into because it has some console and other hardware elements so yeah.

I've been looking to buy a cheap used Wii U just to play the new Monster Hunter game (wouldn't be buying one otherwise), but I've got a bit of an issue. The monitor I currently have (Samsung SyncMaster S24B300) doesn't have any speakers and I've heard from a friend that the Wii U would not support me using my USB wireless headset (a Logitech G930) and I've also heard that any other form of USB speaker(s) wouldn't work. And so I face an expensive decision, seeing as the TV in my room is from the early 2000s and doesn't support HD (you can't even watch TV on it due to the digital switch over), I'm wondering whether I should buy a second monitor, some form of 24" Samsung with speakers so that it is the same size as my current one. Then I can run a dual monitor setup when I'm not using the Wii U but can be used for playing Monster Hunter in all it's HD goodness

Thanks in advance for any help,

Chris

They all sound horrible though. You can always use the headphone jack to connect some speakers.

I agree but for general game usage it will suit. I would go for it. Anything proper and you have your headphones. Makes sense to me. (just don't expect the high quality sound you may be used to)
