Hi,
Any help greatfully appreciated!
I'm an illustrator so just thought i'd treat myself to a bigger monitor.
In native mode of 1920 X 1080 it displays fine BUT is too small, I'd like bigger
so tried 1440 X 900 and 1440 X 810 BUT it displays the image as slightly squashed!
What resolution should I be using 1440 x ???

Samsung 27" monitor installed drivers.

Graphics Card is Geforce GTS 450 with latest drivers.

On Windows 7 pro.

Cheers,
Ade

the text too small for you?
you can change it
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
theres dpi settings etc there
better than changing res i think

What would you like bigger? text? if so see Mei's reply.

Afaik if you want more desktop space, you'll have to buy a second monitor or a monitor with higher resolution.

Well the math says:

1080/1920 = 0.5625
0.5625 x 1440 = 810

So 1440 x 810 is the same proportion as 1920 x 1080 so shouldnt be squashed :/ But its not the native resolution so thats probably causing the issue, try as Mei said to change text size.

1920 X 1080 is the correct resolution. Do not run other resolutions unless you want sacrifice picture quality.

Sounds like you have bought a monitor with a small pixel pitch than you'd anticipated.

You can scale your content like adjusting the dpi setting of the windows fonts.
