So I saw a thread a while back about women being used on the product images. They basically told the guy to speak to customer services, and that the mod would raise it internally.

Just sitting here looking at monitors and my 6 year old lad is seeing pictures of women draped over cars etc.

Do you think we could sort this out? Like sooner rather than later.

I'm not 16. And even if your target customer base was, it makes no difference.

I don't think I need to go into why this is unacceptable, but happy to educate anyone that thinks this is Ok.
 
It might be better to post in the Customer section were the shop staff will look more frequently - But I have brought this thread to there attention.

And I think that is a little harsh ANDARIAL There is no need for sexualized images of women on monitors to sell them. And just because you can see worst elsewhere doesn't make this more correct. This pictures are not bad bad, I get that.

Anyway, I've voiced my concerned, I'm not campaigning for it, as I do have a life and other things to do, I've said what I wanted to say.

As I recall ocuk's response last time was that the images are supplied by the manufacturers.
So you should contact them.
As said before, get a life. If they were being forced to pose I can see there may be some cause for concern.
Pretty women are not to be hidden away that stinks of men controlling women.

Doing a quick look I think there's only about 25% of the monitors on 30"+ with 'ladies' on and hardly any could be classed as scantily clad.
Fuss about nothing.

There's cars, some games, some game of thrones, star trek, random landscapes, some girls... just seems to be a cross section of things people like to see on their screens ;D

No, you may not be 16, but you certainly act like you are from the same pitiful generation as them. Is seeing a woman in a bikini "triggering" you? Do you need us to make you a "safe space" on OCUK forums so you can hang out there 'till ya feel better?

Get over it. Seeing a naked woman won't scar your child mentally. I think it'll scar your kids more to think that seeing a human body is somehow shameful or bad. Do I think using bikini clad women to sell monitors is stupid? Yes. Am I going to demand that something be done about it? No, because I'm not a loser millenial.

I swear if SJW's like you had their way we'd all be grey wearing grey suits and you'd be arrested for swearing outdoors. Human genitals and breasts would be deleted from the human form by science lest they trigger someone, and we'd have legal and illegal words, just like in Orwell's 1984. Don't people like you see what the endgame of your kind of dangerous crazy thinking could be? Get a life!

Advertising like this is dated. A well known hosting provider did it and finally got rid of the women...

Anyway.

Need your head checked if you think it's unacceptable. I've a 7 year old daughter and a 10 year old step son, neither would blink an eye at what you're on about. It wouldn't even be questioned.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, maufacturers will use whatever they want to make their products more appealing.

advertising like this isn't dated at all.

look at all the big celebrities being used to push products on us. the kardashians, etc. they certainly aren't being used because of their brains. you have the likes of Jordan in the UK, Rita Ora, etc. your kids will be seeing the same types of images in magazines and tv daily.
