Monitor won't display 3 bios error beeps.

I'm working off limited information here as i'm posting for a friend but from what I understand. He has tried two monitors with his computer, both just go into standbye mode.

He has 3 bios error beeps from his motherboard, i'm not 100% but I think it's a ASUS board, meaning it's a video adapater error. After checking cables are connected properly and it still not working what would be the next course of action?

look at the manual for this motherboard and find out what the beeps mean.

yeh im pretty sure 3 beeps is graphics , make sure ur card is firmly in and if you have other slots than you can use try them
