So I have a 22" Samsung 226BW attached to a GTX 260, with the latest drivers on Windows XP. With each install of the drivers, I run Driver Cleaner.
My monitor still refuses to reliably go into standby. I can set it to 5-10 minutes/whatever in the power options, and it will go into standby. But 3-4 hours latest, after using the machine, it refuses to go into standby - I then have to re-apply the power settings, to make it go into standby for the next 3-4 hours.
I have uninstalled drivers, restarted then ran Driver Cleaner, deleted all Nvidia directories, ran CCleaner's registry cleaner and made sure all the temp files are deleted. After that, again for the next 3-4 hours, the monitor will enter standby if left for 5 minutes. Come, say 3-4 hours, later, the monitor is sat at the desktop when I expect it to be in standby.
Any suggestions?
