I have an Acer G24 monitor that doesn't seem to standby.

The monitor used to standby no problem until I installed a new motherboard recently.

I replaced an Asus P5Q with an Asus P5Q SE2.

I'm using Windows 7 x64. There is no screensaver set. Power management is set to turn the monitor off after 10 mins. The screen goes black (not off, actually displaying black) and the power LED stays lit blue (for standby this should be orange).

Does anyone know why the monitor now refuses to standby?

Cheers

I did also install a new graphics card about a month ago, it was a XFX ATI Radeon 5850.

My PC went into standby fine with that and the old motherboard though.

It's possible the combination of this new motherboard and that graphics card could be causing something funky...

I had the same problem after upgrading from a 7900GS to a 5770, but the problem disappeared after upgrading Catalyst from 10.1 to 10.2. Are you using 10.2?

MADMAN69UK, try upgrading your graphics drivers, if an update is available.

Think I'm still on Catalyst 9.12 atm. I thought 10.2 was still in beta?
Though I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. I'll give it a go later :)
