New monitor (Samsung 2032BW) works perfectly in VGA but will not start in DVI mode. Graphics supplied by 8800GT and backed up by 2GB DDR2 RAM @ 800MHz and DualCore2 processor @2.4GHz - everything at stock settings.
Anyone have any suggestions how to enable DVI mode?

Installed all the drivers?

Are you using the DVI cable that came with the screen?

Tried both DVI ports?
I had my 8800gt stop working for a bit, wiggled it about in the socket and the DVI connector and it worked again.

* All drivers have been installed - but having considered this at some length before posting I had discounted the driver theory on the basis I can't even see the basic posting messages prior to getting into the BIOS. The drivers only start to load as the OS loads (XP in this case). I reckon I should be able to switch on out of the box and at least get a basic picture before I start loading the drivers.
* Used new cable and also tried an old cable - makes no difference.
* This card only has the one DVI connector. I had tried wiggling the card prior to posting but still nothing.

Only one DVI connector?

Which card is it exactly?

I think it was branded an OcUK model when it was purchased about nine months ago. However it is actually inside my sons computer and he is currently in the middle of an on-line racing game so I don't think he would welcome me taking the side off his case just to get a brand name! However I had noticed when I was working on it earlier that it had only three outputs - one DVI, one HDMI and one for video. I checked on the Nvidia web site and see the reference design has two DVI connectors so I guess this is how OcUK were able to sell the card slightly cheaper - it was built to a price.
What baffles me though is the DVI output clearly works as it requires a DVI/VGA adapter to be connceted to it to produce a VGA signal.
