CPU AMD RYZEN 3600
MOTHERBOARD...B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
GPU radeon rx 590 gaming 8gb
corsair lpx RAM.. DD4 2X8 16 GB 3200MHZ
psu corsair rm750x
would this system run a 27" 2560x1440 va monitor,
for gaming thinking of upgrading, thanks

You would have to lower settings depending on game, but it's doable.
Also FreeSync helps when framerate varies.

Monitor is such long usage life part that better get proper ugprade while at it.
Even starting prices aren't high, though many models are out of stock.

Increasing monitor resolution increases only GPU load.
But you're better off waiting for next gen graphics cards to come out anyway before upgrading that.
Right now prices of higher end cards are bad per future proofness.
I mean next Xbox brings 2080 Super level GPU in raw performance and with high optimizatinos no doubt performs little better.
(not to forget variant of 3700X as CPU)
