Hey all,

I'm planning out my next build and was hoping someone could help me.
I was looking into a controller such as the Aqua Computer Aquaero.

Has anyone used these before?
Are they good at helping get a balance between sound and cooling? Or am I better just spending time to manually configure my cooling loop?

It's just I've never been a fan of the dial controlled fans and wanted something a bit more automated.

Thanks in advance :D

I've been using Aquaero's since 05, love them.

Although I always buy one of the cheaper versions, as I don't need the latest all singing, all dancing ones as the bulk of options on them I would never use. Runs all the fans (10) in my loop just fine.

Thanks for the response,
Good to hear, I'd have to opt for the cheaper one too, the screen etc can be nice but it would have no place in my build.

Can I ask how many of the features you do use? 10 fans obv but do you use all the temp/flow sensors you can?

How many fans are you intending on controlling?

I was considering getting the Aquaero 5 LT but FanXpert 2 on my Asus board did a good enough job of fan profiling that I thought it'd be excessive for what I wanted it for.

I use the temp sensor and the fan controllers, that's it. I was thinking of using the flow sensor but have never bothered. I wouldn't use things like, IR remote, touch screen, alarms, LED outputs etc

I have an aquaero 5 xt and its one of the best things I have bought for my rig. I used to run a bigng before the aquaero and would say that some form of monitoring and fan control system is essential if you want a quiet running rig.

In a nutshell the aquaero is well worth the cash.
