Hey guys,

Do many of you use power meters while you are folding to check usage and try to improve efficiency?
I was thinking of getting one to give me an idea of what I'll be pulling from the socket while folding.

I've been having a read on the net and kinda like the Belkin Insight because of the extended cable for the display to sit on my deck. Is this ok to use before my surge protector? Or should I just have it on the psu plug on the surge protector?

Any advice or recommendation welcome... thanks

I have two, one is a watt meter that you plug something into, the other is a overall cost meter that goes around the main cable coming into the house. I hate looking at either of them.

I use mine when overclocking, for obtaining the best ppd/watt, this tends to mean a moderate overclock for me. Very often the extra few ppd that can be obtain through higher overclocks just isn't worth it when you look at the power meter.

Might be frightening to look at when not folding ! Judging by what I've read on various folding forums some folk could use some of their cash to put in a small wind turbine to power their setup.

Well I'll be back home on Friday so will be interesting to see the usage with my one 680 gtx and then add the second one I've got waiting for me. Better not let SHMBO see it though.
