I have a teenager daugther (15) that uses my pc which is in the living room. She has been sent down to live with me by her mum and as i work and she's at home alone (she goes to collage here in september). She is always on msn, bebo, facebook, and when ever i look up at the monitor (from the sofa) she hides these pages or shuts them down. Now i trust her but i dont those that she talks to, as over the weekend a stranger turned up at the door and thought that he could take her out to Stafford i live in Southend (i went mad at her and more so him).

Now my question is this. Is there any software that i can use that will monitor anything that is typed so i can keep a eye on what is being talked about. I dont want to spy as i dont want her to feel as she can't trust me but as i dont want the same thing to happen again i cant trust who's shes talking to.

This also has to be free, be able to run in the background and run on windows 7
Thanks

I didnt say that she didnt tell him where she lived. As i think she did but my point is it should not of happen in the first place. This guy was 35 and was under the impression that he was gonna go to stafford with her. I told her how i felt about it after he had buggered off.
"I dont want to spy on her" but at least i would have some notice as to when and if it happens again. Cos what i dont think is clear is while im at work she is at home on her own on face book, msn, bebo all day till about 10pm (i usually work from 6.30am till about 5-6pm)
I dont want to stop her talking to her friends but as a single parent i dont want to come home one day and find she aint here cos of something that i could have stopped with a little bit of information that some software like this would give.
As for her finding out, i dont think there would be any chance of that as i wouldnt install it in the usual place, have the program file hidden and if possible password protected, delete it from all programs and have the short cut to the exe hidden. Shes not all that tech savvy.
