I'd like to ask what recommendations people have with regards to monitoring a WC system.

From reading through, it appears that the flow indicators can restrict flow, apparently not overmuch though, but I do want as free flowing a system as possible. The flow indicators appear to be either inline, (which would usually be hidden away in a case) or set in with a small level indicator in a double 5.25 panel on the front. My PC is on the floor, under the desk, so these types aren't really ideal.

Has anyone any experiences, that they could recommend, of any of the alarm/monitoring systems available. The Aquaero looks interesting, but it is quite pricey.

Just monitor the components being cooled, they are a sure indication when something starts to go wrong.

Real Temp, Core Temp and HW Monitor to check component temps.
Don't use any Thermocouples within the water circuit.

agreed,
i do like the thermaltake approach with the software to control pump speeds ect but when i ran water a while ago i didnt bother with fance measurments, everest is all i used. i prefer air now tbh.

The Aquaero does look nice.

Koolance now have the TMS-200 which again looks good.

For several years I used the mCubed T-Balancer to good effect.

Right now I'm playing with my own design which works ok if you like PWM output. I'm debating changing the fan drive to direct voltage, driven off a simple smps circuit. I also think I can access the cpu temperature directly, a neat feature as it removes the dependence on having sw running under windows :)

Thanks guys. I think I will keep it simple and just use the software temp monitoring, which I usually have running anyway. I'll look up that TMS-200 though, Ecat.
