Hey everyone :)

Short term - I plan to use my domestic WiFi for a few of the customers who come in, I know its against usage policy etc but this is only short term :)

I am looking for a way to monitor who is using the WiFi at any given time and perhaps an amount of data used by that device?

The sky hub gives me basic information as to what devices are connected but doesn't give me anything in regards to the usage of the devices connected?

Also is there an easy way to kick everyone off periodically to stop people connecting once and having use all the time? I know changing the password works but is a PITA when having to connect all my home devices

Cheers in advance

Depends on the router. On my Asus you can setup guest networks that allow access only for a certain time etc. It also allows you to monitor bandwidth usage etc.

A quick glance suggests there is no such option on the default firmware of the sky hub although does any one know if there is a modified firmware for this?

You could link in an access point for use by your customers and keep your sky's WiFi for yourself. Some of these then might have monitoring options on them for you as well. They also might not allow them to access your internal network and just the internet. Depends on what you want them to be able to access.

They start from about £21 for an Edimax access point upwards to what you are willing to spend.
