Recently purchased a b grade Asus PG279QM from OCUK and as I understand you get 3 months with them? So I thought I'd register it with Asus and it's already been booked in with them, now why would the original purchaser have done that if they were sending back the monitor?? I know it's a gamble with b grade but that's just insane they registered it, there was no need whatsoever.

Not a monitor but when I brought my faulty controller earlier in the year, I registered it and was going to get Microsoft to exchange it, but then I read would likely get a used part back and that they expect you to use retail warranty, so thats what I did in the end.

So there is reasons it happens.

Registerered the monitor as most would and returned as faulty but they were refunded after a period of time due to delays, you just don't know the history of the monitor.
This one looks pretty much unused and the I'm guessing it was returned because of the central band of glow that can be seen on a black screen, not visible at all in normal use but that's pretty common for IPS panels
