isn't the human eye only meant to be able to see at 60-70hz kind of range above that it can;t really tell?

oh and why not just by one of the 100hz lcd?

best of both high refresh and no annoying flicker.

Actually, I can without any problems recognize the difference between 85hz and 100hz on my current CRT (100 being much much better of course). But I have no doubt that I will not have a problem with 60hz on NEC LCD...it is different technology after all.And 60fps is quite sufficient for nice gaming (although again, I can see the difference between 60 and 100, 100 being much better again).

i dunno about 100hz but i can certainly tell the difference between 85 and 150

tried playing css @ 1280x1024 85hz and it wasn't brilliant... im used to playing @ 640 150hz

lol i love these deluded people who actually believe they can play better with lower resolutions.

less visability = easier kills?

Exactly. No it doesnt.

Actually...your wrong there sort of.

It was easier in games like Counter-strike to play in a lower resolution....to some people anyway.

It was 'easier' to aim at the people heads so to speak.

lower resolution = more hz... actually

smaller resolutions feel much more responsive too... even with the same hz
