Monitors with freesync & g-sync support?

Do monitors exist that support both systems? That way I could use the monitor now with a older card, then decide if I want ATI or Nvidia and still get the sync feature. I was going to buy a monitor and GPU but I may wait until one dies the way of the dodo like Betamax & VHS.

Sadly, nope. Not sure about AMD terms, but NVidia is the only supplier of G-Sync monitor modules and they don't want to support "competitor tech". You'll have to wait for some more years until one of them caves in

Nope there aren't any and chances are there won't be for at least another year, if ever... IMO, it is only a matter of time until nvidia announce support for adaptive sync, they can't choose to ignore it for much longer especially when the only monitor manufacturers that seem to heavily invest into gsync are ASUS and Acer.

Adaptive sync will never cave in, it is an open standard, which is officially supported by not just display port but also HDMI now + intel will be supporting it as well as future TVs + consoles. Freesync is just AMD's marketing term for adaptive sync.

Yeah, I know adaptive sync is open and all, but NVidia still hopes AMD(and Intel) will maybe pay them for G-Sync license And they won't be dropping G-sync as long as there monitor manufacturers who are willing to pay them licence fees for it - there not much willingness in top management for someone to sign off admission that "G-sync was a mistake" Well, at least until they break even in licence fees covering all this money spent on g-sync R&D - and this may take quite a lot of time (but no idea about even approximate numbers here, so who knows).

No, and I very much doubt you'll see one soon.

Gsync will not be going anywhere, when Nvidia own a stupidly huge chunk of the graphics card market compared to the pittance of AMD, it would be a silly decision of Nvidia to move on their current stance.
