Monitors...

I've decided to go the whole hog with my upgrade and swap my monitor as well, so I wondered if I could get some suggestions please. I currently have one of these - https://www.asus.com/uk/Commercial-Monitors/PB298Q/ which is nice, but I don't think it's really suited to gaming.

Today I ordered my cpu, mobo and ram (3600X, Tomahawk B450 Max and 16gb ddr4).

I can allocate a max of £1000 for a monitor AND GPU (although I'll be a very happy bunny if costs less!) what would you guys go for?

For that money, the bang for the buck is 1440P or 1440UW, though if you play older games consider 4K. Whichever monitor you get, make sure it is 'g-sync compatible' so you get VRR whichever GPU you use.

BTW you should be able to get 75 Hz out of your current monitor which will make gaming a lot nicer.
