Monsal Head

Went for a walk in the Peak District on Saturday and when passing this sign for Monsal Head I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of this amusingly placed sheeps skull. this was the best of the bunch, let me know what you think.

Monsal Head and Monsal Dale are a stunning place to visit and great café at the top.

The unusual was what made me take it, as soon as we came round the corner and saw the sign with the skull balanced on it I just new I had to take a picture (or two).

Monsal Head/Dale is stunning, I've been trying to get a shot of the dale and viaduct from Monsal Head that I'm happy with for about 5 years and have so far failed to get it quite right!

Didn't have the camera though walked in from the south - about 12 miles round trip!

We parked up just round the corner and did a 6.5 mile round walk, the weather was lovely but the light was so changeable with the clouds rolling in and out litterally one minute gorgeous golden sunset and the next dull grey.

Someone with a good sense of humor!

It was suggested on another forum that a B&W conversion would look good so I have had a go, let me know what you think. Personally I really like it and think the B&W improves it.
