'Monster Shark' attacks another shark

That shark (thinking he was a seagul) has been listening to eric cantona and following the trawler to closely...

Nothing in the sea could do that damage to a great white! That's all human damage!

I don't buy it that a boat would do that amount of damage through the propellers to a shark.

I still cannot believe that the thing is still alive in those pics and thrashing about.

Is it me or is it missing it's top fin?

Yes I noticed that, more than a little suspicious given the value of shark's fins and the bad press finning has been receiving lately. If a bigger shark did do that then why didn't it eat the whole shark? Presumably the smaller shark wouldn't have been able to escape in that state. People on the other hand, are scum and would cause another creature an immense amount of suffering for $300 a pound or 15 minutes of fame

Are you suggesting someone butchered that whilst it was still alive?

was gonna suggest a killer whale like a few others, saw a program about one that killed a great white but it just held it upside down and it suffocated.

How can you be so sure?.

Main reason is that sharks without dorsal fins can't swim, and so sink to the bottom of the sea straight away. If it sank how did the fisherman catch it? According to the article it was caught on a baited hook attached to a buoy, can you honestly see a shark in that state, that cannot swim deciding to have a wee snack?

There are other reasons too - the shape of the bite is different, the fact that the shark was still alive and not eaten by whatever "monster" did that to it.
