Glad to see your enjoying the stronglifts still.

It's been good. Nothing failing yet has been positive. I've noticed my back getting leaner, and i'm down an inch on my waist. Weight is the same, but expected with muscle gain. But as the last to go is always the beer gut, I've yet to notice much change

Keep at it, it's gradual so you won't notice it but people who see you less often should.

Take pictures every month for comparison purposes which can also keep you motivated.
 
Friday

Squats 60kg - Warmup,5,5,5,5,5
Press 35kg - Warmup 5,5,5,5,5 - These are starting to feel heavy!
Deadlift 62.5kg - 10
 
Hit my first plateau today :( Damn my weak shoulders!!

Squats 65kg Warmup , 5,5,5,5,5
OHP 37.5kg Warmup - 5,5,5,2,3
Deadlift 70kg - 5
 
Shoulders is a tough one, but lift well and rest well and you'll push on thru.

I'd be doing 3 sets of deads though, 1 set just isn't taxing enough.

Yeah, agree on the deads, I feel that I can power much more through them. But was only following the instructions :)

Yeah the instructions err on the side of caution really, the deadlift is such an important exercise I really think it needs doing a tad more substantially :)

This.

I brought first pulls back into my routine (5*5) to stabilise the... errr... first pull of my cleans and snatches and my goodness my upper back was in ruins.

They also wire the central nervous system for crazy stimulation, too, which will benefit your other lifts. :D

I've not been warming up to deads, as I'm quite warm after the squatting.

Next week I'm going 3x5 on deads to see how I feel.

Today:

Squats: 67.5kg - Warmup 5,5,5,5,5
Bench press: 47.5kg - Warmup 5,5,5,5,5
BOR 50kg Warmup 5,5,5,5,5 - lower back hurt a little today, might need a belt
 
I officially hate the OHP, beaten on the last two reps! (right shoulder packed in)

Today:

Squat: 70kg, warmups, 5,5,5,5,5
OHP: 37.5, warmups 5,5,5,5,3
Deadlift 75kg warmup, 5,5 (got in the gym late before work today and ran out of time :( )
 
OHP is hard, don't wory about it. I would also recommend doing triples every now and again as well. Sometimes it helps push you push through a plateau (in terms of reps) if you know what a heavier weight feels like, and what the load upon your shoulders is.

Even doubles might be okay, as you're only repping 5s anyway :)

Squat 72.5kg warmup 5,5,5,5,5 (lower back went funny on the final set, think I lost concentration on form)
Bench 50kg warmup 5,5,5,5,5 New PB and caned it :D
BOR - Another one i hate as I get lower back pressure again 55kg warmups, 5,5,5,5,5

Because of the back pain, I'll not be increasing the weight next session (which wont be til monday due to conflicting schedules)

As a result of the back pain I've had, diet gone to poop today.. chinese for tea! :D

urrgh I think my diet is really holding me back. Still feeling flabby after nearly 8 weeks. To be honest it's my own fault, weekends are full of cheats (not too many, but i do spoil myself to bread a bit) and haven't logged anything properly in 2 weeks! :(
