Hey guys, I'm after som mood lighting of sort. That sits behind tv on wall and when playing music or movies, it changes colour to the sound.

I.e, big explostions it turns red, people talking it turns white or blue ext ext.

Or one that can be setup via the pc to how I like it. Also would be nice to have an remote for it but not fussed if didn't.

Anyone have one like this or heard/seen one.

Cheers

The first one looks good and I think I can wait a couple of month.
The second one sounds good too, but 180.for 3 bulbs and a hun, seems **** steep lol

you can buy a wireless remote controlled dimmable BIAS lighting kit from ebay for less than £25.

it wont change colour with sound, only by remote though.

also what you are trying to do is actually going to make movies picture quality worse.

as in whilst watching a movie and a explosion happens, the red behind the tv is going to dominate the red within the tv, making the picture turn "cool".

then when it switches to a cool colour it is going to make the picture look "warm", etc.

if you want to increase PQ then use a daylight coloured light behind the tv (white).

if you want a gimmick then buy a multi-coloured light.

the choice is yours.

Think i will do some research on it for thr next couple of month :)
Appriciate the help though guys.

Xbmc also has an app which will colour the phlips hue bulbs to the same colour as what is on he screen at that moment, I believe it's ambilight, also you can set xbmc to dim your bulbs when a movie starts and light them back up when it ends.Get a harmony ultimate and you can also control your bulbs with your remote, alternatively you can just control your bulbs through ios/ android.
