Buzz Aldrin shows how a bit of moon walking can bridge the age gap and allow you to bag a much younger woman as he weds his forth wife. His success at conquering space has been somewhat better than conquering long term relationships, but number four is sure to bring a smile to the spritely 93 year old's face.....

Are those moon walking boots he is sporting?

i have never gotten the gold digger insult anyway.

i mean...... yes it happens a lot, you only need to go to posh holiday places and you see it all the time, a retired old person - usually a bloke but not always - with a far younger incredibly attractive partner.

but why is it the young attractive one who gets the raw end of the deal with the gold digger, and not the "dirty old perv banging somone young enough to be daughter (or son) (in many cases grand daughter/son)

the most obvious case which jumps to mind was Anna Nicole Smith..... it pretty much broke her the hate she got and the law suit for her taking advantage of the poor old rich bloke.

my foot!.... it was an old bloke who wanted a trophy wife as a last hurrah to end his days with....... to me I would say fair play to both parties if it is what you want then go for it.....

you very rarely find a rich person who is generically considered attractive with an ugly poor person.......... why is that i wonder?

(I wont lie though the famous Debbie McGee / Paul Daniels quote by mrs merton back in the day did make me smile)

Late at night a big old house gets lonely
I guess every form of refuge has its price
And it breaks her heart to think her love is only
Given to a man with hands as cold as ice

Imagine this thread being posted on Mumsnet.

Use ages 45 and 22 as examples.

Older woman goes out with the younger guy = fine.

Older guy goes out with the younger woman = not fine, because the Mumsnetters think it's paedophilia... "but but but my 22 y/o 'DD' is still only a child!!!1"

I don't have an issue with age gaps.

The people who do need to focus on themselves and their family and lives and leave people to it who have no bearing on their existence.

It's mostly women who appear to have an issue with age gaps involving other couples... Some men do but, and I have no actual empirical evidence to hand {if it even exists), the ones who are at least the most vocal about it are women.

Of course, I could be talking complete tosh
