Moral Objections to Sponsors

Pa**** Cisse obviously has strong objections to promoting Wonga.

What do people think? Are you allowed to object considering you are an employee?

Normally I would say you chose to sign the contract, but he obviously didn't know at the time Wonga will be a sponsor.

I'm sure he doesn't object his wages coming in each week through said sponsors.

That's an interesting proposition. I wonder if he'd accept a £8m/£totalincome % deduction from his wages.

Instead of protesting because he's a Muslim, why not protest because Wonga are another in a series of morally dubious money companies who prey on the poor with their ridiculous 'payday loans'?

Who says he isn't. Afaik there wasn't this problem with Virgin Money.

Usury is a subjective term and one could apply it to Wonga but not Barclays/Virgin.

If he takes this stance, then I hope he practises Zakat.

He probably does. Not sure hoe it is relevant though.
