Morba's New Log: Time to step up, more cake!

Feels like i've not trained in ages. Having a dodgy belly then changing unit location has been a nightmare.

1st session in the new unit tonight, overhead:

Not doing the routine, just some overhead stuff, back on it next week:

Log:
70x10
70x10
90x5

125xf
5kg, thats all why does it feel so much heavier???!!!
Oh wait, its actually 135kg, ok that makes sense
125xf - proper 125kg this time, knees were gone at this point, wasn't happening didnt even try to press it.

90kg block of death
few fails as getting used to it, scary bloody thing.
6 reps, happy with that tbh.

seated axle:
40x10
80x10
80x10
90x5
90x5

thoughts:
quick session, happy with the log. Think I would have got 125kg if it was attempted properly!!

New unit will be awesome :)

Friday:
Can't really remember much of the session other than some axle cleans and then yoke. Which was pants. So inconsistent with yoke at the moment, but with the new place we can train it more which is good.

Monday:

Random trainings ahoy!

Weds:
No training. Clearing the old unit and moving the last of the stuff..... all the heavy stuff.
almost 2 ton of atlas stones, a 500kg tyre, car deadlift frame and stupid other stuff. Also smashed up the old stone platform and dumped all the wood outside. Knackered.

Fri:
Heading away tomorrow so didnt wan't to do anything silly.

warm ups
60kg BTN strict press
70kg strict log press

90kg block of death: 8 reps, none missed. omg, this was just perfect tonight.

flat log bench with the small log

80x10
110x10
140x8
140x8
140x7

power stairs:
100kg keg, 120kg keg, 160kg duck walk up 3 ghetto steps. Will post vid if other person uploads it, was rather dark and couldnt see much but here is a pic of the end result:

Guy on the right is about 6'2 to give some perspective of the height of the 3 steps.
step 1: thick rubber mats
step 2: tractor tyre
step 3: tyres and railway sleeper on top of tractor tyre.

Did a few runs of this. knackering.

good fun!

Feels like training is almost non existent at the moment. Not good. Holidays over, settled into new gym, time to crack on.

Had a visitor tonight to try out the equipment for Bristols Strongest that we are putting on, so hard to get any overhead in at all again!

cgbp

120x5
120x5

took ages to get through that and wasn't what I wanted to do at all tbh. bleh.

Deadlift wednesday.

got a comp soon with axle dead for max without straps so thought I'd give it a go tonight knowing that my grip with an axle is terrible.

Our normal axle is on small car wheels which are lacking air, on one side the plates touch the floor and the other its about an inch above the floor, so I'm gonna say these were all at 10".

60xlots
80xlots
120x5
160x5
200x5
210x1
220x1
230x1
240xfail - ok so this is where my current limit is. crap.

feeling ok and that the weight wasn't a problem I go my axle straps out (lovely big things!):

240x1
250x1
260x1
270x1 - not gonna lie, this was UGLY. A proper strongman deadlift, first time I have ever hitched. Good 15 secs to complete the lift.
Crazy as the 260 was near on perfect.

Forearms were destroyed after this, axle rows were not happening so I packed up and went home happy :)

Not deadlifting for a month clearly works for me! weird.
