Maybe £350 would be OK.
The 6870 has more Tessellation horsepower than a GTX 480???

I guess the important bit now is, what die size did they need to accomplish it.

Edit:
Early reports from Charlie indicated very slightly bigger than GF104 (about 380mm2) but he wasn't absolutely certain on that.

If that is true, then Nv is in HUGE trouble now...

cant give a direct comparison unfortunately, they have a much faster cpu than me ( i7 [email protected] vs [email protected]) but i'm only running at 1680x1050 vs their 1920x1200 but anyway i get 37.5fps on unigine with gtx 480@ 800/2000, using same settings apart from resolution

Where does it say 4.2ghz 920? Only reference to CPU I can see is 930 at 2.8ghz though I'm on my phone so I'm probably missing something.

Edit, just seen it in the Heaven shot, ignore.

Tried the same settings on my 5870 and needless to say it gets murdered. Averaged about 10FPS and I stopped it halfway through. It's not liking the extreme Tessellation settings.

@ steve258 43 av 29 min fps in the fly through means a lot less in actual gameplay. Crysis needs top dual cards to run smooth at max settings.
