Think I officially now hate my Accord :)

My AC 'broke' last year and I had it regassed at an AC specialist who leak tested, it, refilled it but then a day or 2 later it stopped working. So I took it back and he diagnosed a leaky condenser. Condenser ordered and I went to get it replaced but it was wrong, this happened a few time.

Fast forward to this year, I got the condenser myself, swapped it out and took it back to him and he regassed it.

With the recent uber hot weather I've noticed that the climate control can't cool the car as it used to. The car has dual zone and the passenger side air is definitely cooler than the drivers side but all in all the CC keeps the system in recirc mode and just can't cool the cabin.

The air con is working as the air is being chilled but from what I remember the air used to be ice cold and I could make the inside as cold as fridge before.

It all sort of points to it needing a regass but then that would mean that it's still leaking wouldn't it? Just looking for general advice, I know AC is a bit specialised but if anybody has had a similar experience then I'd appreciate it before going back to the AC guy.

Oh and sorry for the long rambling post :)

It sounds to me as if your CC has a problem with the ambient temperature sensor inside the cabin. If it's reading say 10C when it's actually 20C then it won't cool as effectively.

Can you run the ac system in manual mode?. See if that makes a difference (sorry, don't know much about Honda CC)

Now that is something I never actually thought of doing, will give that a try tomorrow.

I've also done some reading and the suggestion is that the refrigerant needs to be topped up which either means that the AC guy didn't fill it properly or that it could yet again be leaking but it has now been a good few months since it was topped up so if it is a leak then it's a very slow leak.

There's also some diag codes that I can get from the AC panel itself which I'll try in the morning.

Have you tried taking it to another place, like a honda specialist workshop? Worth getting a 2nd opinion.

No, might have to.

I tried the manual AC and it made no difference, the passenger side is much colder.

I did a diag of the AC system which involves pushing a few buttons and that reports no faults.
