Hmmm, some interesting options there, but not sure anything ticks all the boxes for me. I'm looking for something similar to what Carta is looking for, and the Acer XB271HU looks like a nice monitor, but how does it compare to the Samsung C27HG70 that is £80 less... the Samsung does not have G-Sync, but Gibbo reported that the crazy low response rate eliminates the need for G-Sync, and it has the added bonus of HDR (hoping that turns out to be useful).

Price on the XR342CK is excellent, but 75Hz refresh puts me off. 4k screens are nice, but too hard to drive in gaming, and, IMHO, unnecessary with a 27 inch panel.

Grab the Samsung, if you dislike it return it, but I feel you will be happy with it as this technology Samsung have works so well. :)

I'm heavily leaning that way... just need to decide 27 or 32", and whether there is any point waiting for Black Friday week.

I knew before clicking that link would be the Lim's Cave review. That seems to be much more negative than all other reviews. Unfortunately, no reviews here from owners.

I realise that the HDR isn't great, but ignoring that, the monitor matches or appears to outperform all competitors at this price, so I look at the HDR as a freebie extra. I reckon that the monitor would be a couple hundred pounds more in price if it had the hardware to do HDR properly.
 
Also, reports say the HDR isn't totally terrible when a console is plugged in... HDR in Windows is the worst!

Guys the 240Hz is really flying and as such were nearly sold out, if your considering one please be quick as no idea if Acer will repeat it because of the huge cost to them, its £200 per panel support.
 
I'm really tempted by the 240Hz 25" monitor, but stepping down from my BenQ 27" to that I think it would annoy me losing the small screen space.
 
Aaaaggh been looking for months and now dont know whether to plunge for either of these. The advice is 24" for 1920x1080 (sweet spot), but have a 23" old Samsung 2333 now and have seen Forza Horizon running on a 27" 4k screen off an xbox one s.
I know own this gamne through play anywhere.
I really like the idea of a 25"

IMO you want to keep it around 95ppi. 27" 1080p is too low PPI. So keep it 24" 1080p.

Not sure if 1060 is enough for 1440p. No way the 1060 is good enought for 4k
