I had a feeling this Windows Vista migration wouldnt go according to plan.

I had a perfectly stable Windows XP 32bit system - so stable infact that I had an uptime of some 3 months when I shut it down to reinstall. But a new 1024mb graphics card and the fact I was wasting a gig of my 4gb of Ram meant it was time to move to Vista 64.

I like it, but i've had two of three BSOD's since I installed it. The latest one was a second ago. I was just browsing the web and..

DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL. It was referencing ndis.sys. Some googling suggest this is related to a Realtek NIC - I have two onboard my IP35 Pro, but at the back of my mind is a niggle about my PSU.

I've got a Corsair HX520 running my system. How can I check whether this PSU really is sufficient? I posted a few weeks back and everyone said it would be fine but I'd like to verify that it really is - as I have an opportunity to upgrade it if needs be.

Can you get hold put a power meter and see how much power your PSU is using? Also have you been to Ivor Dewdney's recently? :)

Have you installed all the latest drivers for your motherboard? Make sure you replace the default windows drivers with the proper ones from the motherboard manufacturer. When I was using Windows audio drivers for my board I was getting frequent BSODs.

How are you runnning 4gig of RAM 2 x 2 or 4 x 1, when running 4 x 1 gig of ram I had to up my Northbridge voltage to 1.40v ~.
Wether this helps!
