More fans....

Hi my motherboard only has one 3 pin socket for plugging a case fan into. As I would like to connect my front case fan too, what is the best way to do this? Can I buy more sockets on a PCI card, or can I plug them into something else, like USB.

You can get fans that plug directly into the power supply cables like here

Alternatively you can get yourself a fan controller, most do 4 fans and they take 1 4pin molex for power.

Hmm nice Baz.....

However, I'm really trying to use up some spare components rather than buy new ones. I wonder if I could just stick a molex connector on an 80mm fan........

Time to get the multimeter out

well, dismantled the original 3 pin fan cable and have created a link to molex connector...1 new case fan woohoo

Damn good fans in my experience aswell. Quiet as well as push a good amount of air. :cool:
