Hey i have just built this system here:

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz
Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 & DDR3 Motherboard
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Pioneer DVR-112DBK 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound
Tuniq Tower 120-LFB CPU Cooler
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case

so i adjusted the memory voltage to 0.3v so its 2.1v and the timings to 4 4 4 12 and it was working perfect first on the desktop and that then i tried team fortress 2 and it crashed about 10 minutes in so i tried quake wars and that played fine. so after that i let it all update to service pack 2 and since then it boots up and gets to the desktop and then crashes and restarts over and over and its only on the desktop for about 10 seconds any ideas what i need to do ?

Thanks.

Is your mobo actually supplying 2.1v to the memory, some board undervolt, so you could be a bit low, although there are many things that could cause your problem

check in bios and see what is actullay being supplied, or use some utility in windows to check, like mbm or speedfan, just to make sure the memory is actually getting the 2.1v

Hey how do i check that in the bios ? and now it does not make it to the desktop it just stays on the black screen and does not restart just freezes there now

It could be a broken stick of memory. Try it with just one stick, in each slot to try and narrow down where the problem lies. I dont know where you would look in that bios, I've not used that board. Maybe in PC health settings or something similar. You might just have to have a look around, there are only 7 or 8 menus so it wont be too bad even if you have to check every one

It doesnt seem to be on there, It looks like speedfan hasnt set up the sensors correctly, you've got some extreme voltages on there, and apparently, according to those temps part of your system is frozen while your CPU is running cooler than room temp. Probably best to just look in bios. You'll have to just have a look around cos I dont know where it is on that board

Hi,
I dont know much about these things but your app says your CPU is running at 266 x 9, but by the look of the bios it says 333 x 8. Could this possibly be the source of your problem (I am looking to build an almost identical system to you today and I am a newb to all this - hope you get your issue resolved)

yeah well when i went back to the bios to check it had changed to 266 but been on phone to ocuk and they think its the memory i just hope i can get it sorted, with out service pack 2 its stable just when i install service pack 2 it fails to get to desktop now and crashes with a blue screen saying dumping memory to disk
