More info on the Modern warfare 2 Killer

Huh? So you get better items (like improved armour and weapons) if you spend more on a limited edition?

I don't like that.

Like near all games with stuff like that, there will probably be either:

a. Those items will be available to everyone regardless, those without the LE will have to wait until a certain level/rank to get them rather than have them from the start.

b. They won't be available to all, but better items will be available in game once you reach a certain level/rank.

I'm pretty sure they've announced that there is no price difference and all it means is that those people get certain unlocks from the beginning, where as everyone else just earns them as normal.

Limited Edition FAQ

Do I have to pay extra for the Limited Edition? No, it's the same price as the Standard Edition, just limited in quantity.

Do I have to reserve / pre-order to get the Limited Edition? No, but that's the safest way to ensure you get one since there will be a limited supply.

Can I get the unlocks featured in the Limited Edition if I miss out and can only get the Standard Edition? Yes, won't have the same day 1 advantage. You'll have to play through game and get the unlocks the standard way.

Where can I get the Limited Edition? We intend to sell it at as many retailers as possible, but it depends on where you live and how much your retailer wants to stock up. Once they're sold out, only the Standard Edition will be available.

Why don't I see the Limited Edition showing up at my favorite online retailer? It's up in some place like EA.com and will start to appear everywhere else. This is a busy time of the year and retailers are working hard to get this in place and it will be available both online and in-store.

Is the Limited Edition available on all three platforms? Yes: PC, PS3 and X360.

Will there be a Beta or Demo before the game comes out? Stay tuned to the blog or follow us on Twitter for future developments on all things Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Seems fair enough, still a strange thing to do.

It's just marketing tbh. Nothing those people do surprises me any more, most marketing people are so far removed from reality it's unreal. They make up their own version of the way the world works the rest of us just get on with it. :D

It'll all be down to day one/week one sales and keeping their name in the news while the MW2 circus rolls into town. It sounds like pretty much every copy of the first print run will be 'limited edition' and then the second batch onwards will be the normal one.

It's a bit like what Valve are doing with their pre-order bonuses, just trying to guarantee sales and judge the demand based on how many pre-orders they get.

I love that video, just the sound that the heli makes when it's spinning round after the hit it awesome. Does look pretty awesome graphics wise.

So basically if you pay us more money you will have an unfair advantage over other users.

Out of pure principles i wouldnt buy the game. Then again not everyone has principles :D

You do realise that this is just a way of getting more money from fools when it should just be included in the game to begin with.
