More internet connections in xp sp2

I just found that and used the tool, i dont quite know what it did or how many connections it opened. :confused: I use limewire and bittorrent software and want to open more connections, i found a website which explains how to do it but i dont understand how you change the registry file.
 
To change the registry, (with the values on that website)

Copy and paste this into a new notepad file, save it with the extension .reg and run it to add the data.


Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]

That should get the same results as that page anyway
 
Ah ok thanks. Can you increase the number of connections or is there no need for more than that? Also would that be better than the program on the website above?

EDIT: Do i need to copy all in the box including the "windows reg edit 5" at the top and what do i need to call it?

The numbers there "00000010" is in Hex, so it is actually 16 connections there.

To run it, just double click on the .reg file taht yuo created.
or if you like, right click on it and select "merge" from the menu


copy and paste EVERYTHING inside the Quote box into the notepad window.

I'm afraid I've not looked at the other program so I couldnt say if it was better or worse, but f the result is the same then my guess is that it is just a graphical interface to do exactly the same thing.

Try it and see, that's the only way to be sure :)
