So glad I did my DA as soon as a turned 21 back in 2008!

Also, if you're currently 21 and have been meaning to do your direct access, get it booked this year or you may find yourself waiting until you're 24.

Like you say, this will really limit the already small numbers of future bikers on the road. Such a shame.

It's such rubbish that this government / EU come up... Do any other bikers feel targeted constantly!?

I do feel sorry for the kids who are currently 16 years old who have grown up around bikes like I did and cannot wait until they can get their licence. There is now a much longer wait / many more hoops to jump through... and I only did my Direct Access 4 years ago.

Sad times.

O/T: my insurance on my 10R is £1,100 (Full comp and i'm 24) but when I turn 25 in 4 months it drops to £500... how silly is that. 25 years of age seems to be a huge milestone in terms of insurance.
