how many of you guys are 40 or over, i think older gamers enjoy games just as much as younger people, i just thought it would be interesting to see how many older gamers there where.

I'm 34 next month but not 40+ yet - for that you need to talk to VIRII :D

You cheeky ****!!! I'm older than DD :( and yeah I love gaming too. My younger brother likes his Xbox, 360 and PC gaming as well. Infact I think a lot of my mates have some form of console.
I have a 360 (as you can see from the sig) and I like it, I don't get to go on it as much as I would like to but that's the wife and kids fault.

And you're too addicted to the mysterious addiction called ocuk. I start twitching if i havent posted in 24 hours :p

I think thats just a sterotype that its mostly teenagers who play games and its mostly boys who have nothing else to do etc. but if you look around theres dozens of reports which show that the average age of gamers is around 30 and theres a lot of female gamers as well. Im still in my teens but I have met plenty of older gamers on Xbox live and theres no problems everyone seems to get along.

I'm 35 and cannot stop playing my PS2. I've got another 25 RPG's to get through so that's a lot of gaming hours. I don't think there's any limit to the age of a gamer, If you enjoy it then play it.

I have a kid on the way but that won't stop me (I hope). Anyway he'll have his own console by the time he's three anyway.

Theres plenty of 'older' people who play games. I remember having a clearout of old PC games at a car boot and a bloke bought a couple who must have been 60 odd. :)

On a serious note, my grandparents are getting a Wii. I only gave them my PS2 a year ago, now they're converted to games! I almost died when I heard they had ordered it!

I'm in the over 40's club, have a gaming PC (that my son is gradually taking over) and a 360.
I'm kind of in-between games at the moment, have finished GoW single player, but after previous experiences on X-Box live I'm a bit reluctant to try the multi-player (lots of annoying American kids, people who care about winning much more than having fun etc).
I have an unopened World of Warcraft sitting here, but don't want to turn into an hermit, so I've left it alone for now....

You can avoid them by playing with people here, what is your gamer tag?
