Got a Base unit to fix, was told it was a virus .... was not at all, basically when it booted an you selected start windows normally its gives you a BSOD every-time same thing : BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO.

Bios has been wiped and reset to defults.

Backup has been made of the hard drive through another machine and driveimagexml

Now im at the point, do i install XP again and do a fresh install or do a repair ... which i havent done on a XP machine yet...

Some help please guys.

At what point does it BSOD? does windows actually load or is it whilst its loading?
Either way BSOD is more often hardware than software, have you ran memtest on the RAM firstly?

Its as soon as it goes past the boot options e.g. safe mode, last known....
As soon as it goes of that screen after timer has ended it BSOD

No not yet but have tried another set in it , still does the same.
