more ram needed ?

I currently have 4gb of kingston pc8500. Atleast, thats what I ordered from OCUK, and what it said on the package. However, cpu-z tells me its kingston pc6400.

Anyway when i play BC2 even at the menu win7 tells me im out of ram, i ignore it and the game runs fine.

more ram needed ?

Could you post a CPUz screen shot of the Memory section and CPU section please

Have you gone into your BIOS to see what speed is listed there? It should read 1066MHz. If it reads 800HHz then you will need to up the speed manually to 1066MHz. This doesn't mean the RAM is the wrong version, but could simply mean your motherboard's "native" RAM support is 800MHz.

Correct and nicely put, hence the reason PC2-8500 is often refered to as "overclockers" RAM.

Mine says the same, Hyper-X 8500, reports as 6400 in CPU-Z but it is running at 1066.

BTW that screenie says your running in single channel mode, should be dual.
