More ram or Lower Latency

I know this would be a silly question but I wanted to confirm.

I currently have 4x2gb corsair low Latency dominator ram cl8, I was thinking of changing it to vengeance 2x 8gb or 4x 4gb which will be cl10 or cl9 due to the cost

which would be better?

if 2 mem channels...id go 2x8...so you can get more later..assuming board supports 8gb

just get a cheap set that you think look's nice if you have a windows in your case, if not just get cheap stuff.

not bashing you but now days ram is ram. and you have an AMD system is not high end so just get what's cheap 0.001 of a second on ram timing will not make a difference .
Some have dont testing and 1333 to 1600mhz gave a performance increase, going from 1600 all the way upto 2600mhz made little to no performance increase.
unless your going to be spending £500 on real high performance ram it makes no difference, and even then is minimum
