Went to photograph some seals again last weekend, this time for both days. Got some fairly decent shots and managed to get really close to one of them, which was nice - very chilled seal. Anyway, C&C always appreciated. EXIF should be retained in them all - Canon 350D, 70-200 f/2.8 L IS w. 2x Converter.

Lovely shots. 1 and 5 stand out for me. These taken at Donna Nook? Im heading off there tomorrow if anyone is about. Will be there at about 8:30-9:00 ish (Setting off at 5:00 :() I'll be sporting my realtree cammo top if anyone wants to say hello. :)

Nice shots george, you've made them look pretty good even in the dull light which seems to inhibit donna nook 90% of the time. I find that being creative can be the only option when its like this, close up portrait style cuteness always looks good whatever the light, imo.
Number 2 is my fave as its different and interesting,

I'll be going back tommorow around 6:30ish weather looks like it might be clearish around dinnertime.... with a bit of hope lol.
I'll be wearing a black jacket and a aquatech camo cover over my gear, come and say hello if anyone is around. :)

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Saw you were going out on TP, MK - good luck. Make sure you're waterproofed head to toe and get on the ground for the best shots. Cammo top - you're aware you'll be on a beach right :p. Seriously, as long as you're laying down, they'd probably still ignore you if you were wearing pink :D.

Thanks! Yeah, again the weather wasn't brilliant this weekend, though sortly after we went out onto the beach on the Sunday there was a pretty decent break in the clouds for a while. I personally naturally go for the more arty-style shots (like 2) and 2 and 3 are my favourites from that lot. I was really pleased to get as close as I did to that seal and having been three times, it really was a benefit at the end having some experience in approaching them.
