More spam since registering with games sites?

I've noticed an increase in spam since registering with Green Man Gaming and the Game Collection. I know this might just be a coincidence, but I was wondering if anyone has had noticed the same thing after registering with either of these sites?

I've been getting a lot of Viagra emails

These ones seem to be trying to get me to buy prescription drugs and gamble at an online "Ca$ino!!"

It's a bit annoying as I'm generally quite careful about what I sign up to. It's all gone automatically into my junk folder so it's not causing any real problems.
